Felony Failure to Register Case Dismissed
Muhaisen Law’s Client took responsibility for a crime several years ago that required him to register as a sex offender. Years later he was charged with a felony for failure to register as a sex offender. After analyzing the statute and the facts, M2 attorneys showed the prosecutor that the client indeed had registered in good faith, but was given conflicting and confusing information by law enforcement about future appointments. Due to the legal and factual discrepancies, the prosecution dismissed the case.
